In Process Work
Pattern creation, test garments, fitting adjustments, final pieces, last minute details--sewing clothes, especially in couture method, has many steps. I've been busy behind the scenes, and thought you might like a few sneak peeks.
Hand Embroidery
This design represents Singing. Singing is an important part of the Creation process. I needed to make a test waistband, to verify the pattern I created. Why waste the work? I used a remnant of linen, found a matching print, and will soon have a pretty skirt for all seasons.
Design Placement
I verified the pattern for the blouse yoke and skirt waistband, by creating test garments. The embroidery design, which represents Life, has been artfully drawn to fit these patterns.
Swan's Land Labels
One-of-a-kind garments deserve one-of-a-kind labels. I hand-embroidered my name and logo on white linen, so you will be sure your piece is an original creation.
